Autumn Kinglets, Warblers, and Wrens at Birdsong

In spite of the cloudy, overcast day (a pleasant change from the wind, cold, and rain from the last 2 days), it was still quite "birdy" over at Birdsong this afternoon.  The weather systems that had come in over the weekend (giving me two new life birds: Pomarine Jaeger and Sabine's Gull) were on their way out but must have lingered long enough to keep some warblers in the area for the day.

It didn't take me long to come upon a very active group of warblers numbering at least at a conservative 30 birds. This was even better than last week at Tifft where they were all around me too!  Today, however, most birds remained high in the upper canopy - so coupled with their elevation and the low light, I struggled to get any photos.  Thankfully, a few came down low, giving me what I've got here...

I was surprised when a Carolina Wren popped up.  He's the second Carolina I've seen in two days; prior to that, I hadn't seen any in at least a month. There were also a couple of Ruby-crowned Kinglets in the park and I was able to get a few shots of one of those quick, little buggers too.

All in all, there was a lot to look at, albeit, mostly way up high!
