A surprising and a bird very rare to the east coast, a Black-throated Gray Warbler, was found up in Ontario at Rock Point Provincial Park.  A few email conversations later, and Willie D’Anna found ourselves traveling up there the next morning in pursuit of that rarity.

Unfortunately, we never found the warbler but we did find a few other rare birds for the location and also for the time of year.  The best bird of the day turned out to be a White-eyed Vireo that was seen the day before and who graciously stuck around another day for us.  A few other late migrants were nice too:  a Nashville Warbler ,a Palm Warbler, and a Spotted Sandpiper.

November always brings some nice surprises!
