A Pair of Harlequins Close November

A couple of skilled Rochester birders were birding the Niagara area today and came upon a pair of immature Harlequin Ducks.  After word got out, Joe Fell and Kevin R re-found them at the north end of Unity Island.  I picked up Shelley and off we went in pursuit of these life birds for Shelley.  Thankfully, when we arrived, Joe was still there and got us on the ducks quickly.  Wahoo for Shelley!  We had unbelievably close views as the pair swam close to the shore for us.  What a great way to close a great month!
