As the sun was setting the other evening, I noticed how gorgeous the lighting glowed on the throat of a male Ruby-throated Hummingbird that was feeding at one of our feeders.  That beautiful throat was on fire with a deep, ruby, jewel-like coloring for which it's named.  I quickly decided to grab a few photos of this stunning bird and he rewarded me some nice views...

 I did read your entire post, I wear catcons too, so you had me intrigued as to where you were going with the birds & catcons connection, lol. I too have problem with eyes drying and even having one wanting to just pop out while I'm trying to take a shot. Glad you found something that works for you, neat!
