Osprey - Too Much Fishy

On an otherwise typical and almost dull day of birding, an Osprey at Times Beach redeemed my outing and gave me an incredible show.
This immature Osprey worked HARD to pull a sucker out of the water, later identified as a Greater Redhorse. It was obviously heavy for the young bird as the Osprey struggled and struggled to gain altitude - but try as he might, he lost the fish and it dropped back into Lake Erie where the bloodied sucker's wounds were washed.
