September Morning at Tifft

It was a beautiful morning at Tifft Nature Preserve today, this first day of September. Reports have been coming in that warblers are starting to come through again. Time sure flies; it seems like it was just last week that warblers were just arriving. And now, here we are starting fall migrations already. At any rate, I sure love seeing these little jewels!

I saw several warblers today: Black-throated Blue, Black and White, Yellow, Yellow Rumped, Magnolia, Palm, and Cape May. I managed to capture a few fleeting photographs, but nothing too spectacular. I'll have to go and try again!

Oh, but I did add a life lister: a Northern Shoveler. I saw several of these out beyond the north blind. All in all, it was another great time at Tifft!
