Fall migrants continue to move through Tifft Nature Preserve.

On Saturday morning's walk, we found 9 species of warblers, the continuing Ring-necked Duck, and a Brown Thrasher.  I was able to get a few photos, although lighting became more and more of an issue as the clouds rolled in.

It was nice meeting up with Rick Bee and Tom Kerr at the preserve too. Tom, a naturalist at Beaver Meadow Audubon Center, was hoping to get the Golden-winged Warbler that was reported to have been seen there; I hope he found it on his way out!  Doug and I did not find that warbler nor the other reported rarity, a Prothonotary Warbler.

We moved out as the rain came in, satisfied with our 9 species of warblers:  Magnolia Warbler, Nashville Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, Northern Parula, American Redstart, Black-throated Green Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Yellow Warbler, and a Common Yellowthroat.
