It was a rather exciting day around my bird feeders today. After 2 days of nearly no activity, our ongoing and significant snowfall may have contributed to a most welcome feeder frenzy. I even got to add a Carolina Wren to my life list! After a quick couple of glimpses of him a couple of times over the last few weeks, I've been keeping my eye out for this mysterious visitor. I was sooo delighted today by his reappearance! I even managed to get a few half-way decent shots of him - at least good enough to positively identify the little guy.
I've been really missing the House Finches that were becoming regulars at the feeders. Usually 1 male would come by with anywhere between 2 and 4 females. However, I haven't seen them in about 2 weeks now. Where did they go and what are they up to?!
But as the day progressed, the snow flew, the inches climbed - and I was privy to a ton of activity! So, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
