We also saw some other nice birds that we don't get to see too often at home: Ruffed Grouse (two), 15 Evening Grosbeaks, 6 Gray Jays, a gorgeous Rough-legged Hawk, 2 Northern Shrikes, and a close view of a Pileated Woodpecker eating berries. Great birds and great fun!

Notes: This bird was first spotted early in the morning by Jim Pawlicki as it flew WSW following the 90. Gale VerHague later relocated the bird at Lake Erie SP and then again on VanBuren Road. I viewed the bird with Gale and then later, with Greg & Fred Lawrence, Dean DiTommaso, Celeste and Willie. I believe, once accepted, this will be the 2nd or 3rd accepted state record for this species.
