Chirps and Cheeps

I took a drive down to the southerntier, not really knowing where I was going... exactly.  I stumbled on an area that is close to something called Bird Swamp, although the roads I was on were outside of that, per se.  I ended up pretty much staying within a 2 mile radius because the birds along this route were wonderful, even though the diversity wasn't that large.

The one bird that kept me in this area was a Prairie Warbler. What a nice find and the singing male was so intent on singing his song, he didn't pay me any mind at all. I was able to get some pretty nice photos of that handsome songster!

In the same area, I found Blue-winged and Chestnut-sided Warblers.  Down the road in a wooded area, I found a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Black-throated Blue Warblers, and Blackburnian Warblers.  In a little opening, a House Wren was very curious about what I was up to and posed for me too!
