  Beach Birds

Walking along the beach at Woodlawn, I was happy to see a few small shorebirds: a single Semipalmated Plover and a handful of Sanderlings.  The Sanderlings are especially fun to watch as they scurry back and forth chasing the waves and picking in the sand looking for any food bits they might find.  They're busy little things that rarely stand still!

Over the next few days, I took a couple more beach and nature walks up at Beaver Island SP and Times Beach Nature Preserve.  I'll include some photos from there too...
