Here are a few of the end of April migrants I've seen the past couple of weeks.
My best sighting was a group of three Forster's Terns. They're on the rare side for our area, so that was a fun find.
I didn't think I'd get a chance to see a Glaucous Gull until winter again, so finding one in the same athletic field I found the Lesser Black-backed Gull in a couple of weeks ago was another fun find.
Everything else were expected birds, but always great to see, nonetheless!

Female Pine Warbler at home

A gorgeous Yellow-rumped Warbler. I take them for granted by the end of the year - but they dazzle me first-off in spring!

A Cooper's Hawk on her nest - a nice breeding record

Field Sparrow all cute with its pink "lips" and white eye ring!

Another Rusty Blackbird - this time at Beaver Island SP

Glaucous Gull out in a grassy field

My first of year (FOY) Spotted Sandpiper

Caspian Terns arguing over a fish

One of three Forster's Terns seen at Sturgeon Point

A handsome White-throated Sparrow

I just love Brown Thrashers!

A pair of Solitary Sandpipers

A pretty Savannah Sparrow singing in a field

A close flyby by an Osprey

My FOY Eastern Towhee

A nicely perched Broad-winged Hawk

Quite the pose by this Wilson's Snipe!
