  Mrs. H. Warbler Bathes Nearby

It was a hot, hot day a couple of days ago - too hot to stay indoors and work.  I pulled out my photo dome to see if I could catch a couple of photos of the Hooded Warblers that have taken up residence here this summer. I've seen them several times, mostly the female - and have been dying to get close enough to photograph her (or preferably HIM!)

I cheated a little.  Since it was so hot, I hooked up the sprinkler to the hose and let it run at a low pressure.  After awhile, there was a nice, little bathing pool just right for Mrs. H. Warbler.  Sure enough, she succumbed to the temptation and, as I sat in my photo dome with camera ready, she popped in and out of the little pool.  What fun she had!

By this time, she was almost unrecognizable!
